TEARS

I hold back the tears
As I watch you disappear
my heart feels so heavy
my mind is completely empty

I see the pain on your face
and the sorrow in your eyes
the saddness is overwhelming
the day is hard to embrace

I don't know if I can make it
through another day
feeling the ache in my heart
the weight on my soul

IF only there was something
that I could do to help
make the pain go away and
lift the saddness from your heart

I will sit here in anguish
and pray to our Lord above
to bring comfort and peace
to fill each of your days

I do want you to know
that I do love you so
I will carry your burdens
and help your wishes be so
