AMAZING!!

As a child I stood in amazement
with the world in all it's awe
from the tops of the highest mountains
to the bottom of the deepest valleys
the green color of nature after a springs rain
the deepest red to the palest yellow
betrayed in a single rose petal
how blue the sky could be and
the brightness of the sun
Oh what a beautiful world it was!

As a child I stood in frustration and fear
with the world and all the unknown
was there more to life than this?
why did we even exist?
what about death? was there life everafter?
why was there so much pain?
why was there so much anger?
why did people hate each other?
why couldn't we all just be friends?
I just couldn't understand.

Then one day I met God's son!
at first many things I did not understand
but slowly it all began to make sense
all my frustrations and  fears were gone
and my heart was filled with hope
I asked him to show me love and
he filled my soul with love for mankind
He gave me hope, he gave me promises
of a world that has yet to come
Oh what a wonderful world it could be!

God's wishes are simple not demanding at all!
All he wants is for us to know him,
to love him, to look to him in times of need.
His promises are great
filled with hopes of tomorrow
a loving world, a peaceful world can be ours
but in another time and another space
Today is the age of faith,
to trust, to believe, to love
in the words of our Lord, Jesus Christ!
