A dream of You

I sit back in my chair
closing my eyes
so I can go to the place
where you and I can meet
I can feel the warmth of the sun
upon my face
I can hear the wind whispering
through the leaves
I can hear the birds singing
in the trees over there
I can feel your hands come around
and down my arms
holding me within

This place is such a good place
feeling so safe and secure
it is peaceful and quiet
with no one else around
knowing that you are always here
no matter what time or day
I feel your cheek upon my cheek
and the whispers in my ear
I feel so at peace here
knowing we share this place
in this moment in time
there is not a better place
that I would wish to be

So I dare to dream this dream of you
and share this place with you
knowing that in this place
my dreams may come true
to have you here
holding me
just the two of us
nothing else matters
all quiet and at rest
only natures quiet noises
filter in between
So for this moment
no matter how brief
it is a dream of you
