TEARS IN THE MOONLIGHT I saw you crying in the moonlightFor a love that had gone wrong I walked to you and held you And told you to be bold and strong. The tears were streaming down your cheeks But caused a sparkle in your eyes And as I looked down upon your face I quickly began to realise. You were the one I’d dreamed about The one I’d yearned for all these years And as I stroked your cheeks so gently I wiped away your hurting tears. I held you close and said don’t worry I’ll drive the pain away somehow And soon again you will be happy For a new life starts here and now. I felt your body draw real close to me And your arms began to hold me tight I then knew I’d found my angel On this special moonlit night. George W.
