Another New Day

As I start another new day
I smile, as
my thoughts go to times past

Remembering the first time we met
not knowing
what kind of a person you were

Getting to know all about you
all things
through our chats and our messages

The time we shared photos,
each of us
wanting to know more about the other!

I would never have guessed then
that today
we would be such great internet friends

My family still gives me a hard time
not understanding
how you can grow so close to someone you haven't met

I guess, my only wish for them
is that someday
they will find someone too, just like you!

So as I start this day and feelings flood my soul
I have to tell you
that my day would never be complete
without saying
how very much your friendship has meant to me!

I can always count on you
to help me smile,
to listen to my cry,
to give me guidance
with your good advise!

I hope you feel the same
because the only way
I can repay you..
is to always be here for you
To help you smile
and laugh and
to listen when you are down
